The line graph compares the income levels of four cafes in New York over the course of last year.
Overall, it is clear that while the Tea Room experienced a downward trend in earnings, both Internet Express and Wi-Fi Café saw steady and significant growth. Meanwhile, Café Cool remained the least profitable for most of the year, though it finished with a sharp increase in December.
At the beginning of the year, the Tea Room earned by far the highest income, at around $160,000, while Internet Express generated about $100,000. In contrast, Wi-Fi Café and Café Cool had much lower figures, at roughly $50,000 and $30,000 respectively. However, the Tea Room’s income fluctuated notably throughout the year and declined overall to about $50,000 by December, becoming the lowest among the four.
In comparison, Internet Express’s earnings showed a gradual but consistent rise from $100,000 in January to nearly $150,000 by the end of the year. Wi-Fi Café alsofollowed an upward trend, increasing moderately until August and then surging sharply to reach the highest income level – around $190,000 – in December. Café Cool’s income remained low and erratic in the first half of the year but climbed dramatically in the final months, finishing just above $130,000.
