The given bar graph illustrates the consumption of junk food and the daily intake of calories between males and females in the year 2015. Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that the youngest population primarily consumed the calories, however declining trend can be observed with the growing age group.
At a fleeting glance, it is intelligible that the men and women who fall under the 18-34 age group, consumed the lion’s share of processed meals which include calories intake of 17% and 16% respectively. Conversely, the consumption of fast food for the second age group (35-49 years) substantially decreased and such calories to 11% for the males, whereas women observed almost 8%.
It is noteworthy that the people who fall under the 50-64 age group, experienced no more than 9% calories from junk food consumption. Finally, the eldest people consumed the least amount of fast food, ergo observed a mere 5% daily calories for men and approximately 4% for women.
