Both years, the costs of rent or house purchasing make up the largest amount of expenditure, while entertainment is the area where the least amount is spent on. Also, it is manifest that the costs for household bills remained steady between the years 2017 and 2018.
In 2017, rent or house purchasing and schooling together made 54% of the total household costs, forming the two largest costs. However, in 2018, the two largest costs were rent or house purchasing and differently from 2017, grocery costs which in total make up 49%. Rent or house purchasing was the peak cost in both 2017 and 2018 with proportions of 32% and 25% , respectively. The percentage of schooling decreased from 22% to 18% leaving its place for the 2nd highest cost to grocery costs which increased from 18% to 24%.
Entertainment was the cost at the bottom with a percentage of 10% rising to 15%. Also, the costs for household bills stayed stationary throughout the years at 18%.
