The line graph shows the proportion of overseas visitors who arrived in the UK for various reasonsbetween 1989 and 2009. Overall, people who came for holiday was the highest then had it’s upward and downward trends overtime and finished off with a growth rate. While people who visited for business decreased and increased earlier of the period and grew steadily until it fell at the end. Similiar to meeting friends and relative’s rate, It grew steadily and fell at the end.
In contrast, visitors who came to the UK for holiday was the highest among the other with around 6.5 millions in 1989 and grew to approximately 9 millions between 1994 and 1999 but eventually overtaken by people who visits for business in 2004 until increased again at the end.
The rate of people who comes for business flunctuated up and down between 1989 to 1999 then had its steady growth in 2004 at 7 millions until 2009 reaching its peak around 8 millions and decreased afterwards. The proportion of people who visits the UK too meet relatives and friends remained the lowest for majority of the time started form between 3 and 4 millions in 1989 while it rose to it’s hgihets point with 7 millions around 2009, however fell at the end of the period.
