In this modern world, use of advanced technologies for communication purposes is a topic of debate. While some people like to use modern communication methods, other still love to write letters to their loved ones. This essay will discuss both perspectives before stating my opinion on using both the forms and their benefits.
Proponents of modern communication devices often argue that technology has made it much easier to connect with others. They believe that we should completely opt for new ways of communication and disown the traditional letters. Numerous individuals think that these advanced devices not only provide a fast way to connect with family and friends, but also make our conversations secure. In addition, innovative devices, for instance, mobile phones, iPad, and laptops provide us with the ease of connecting with people living abroad or at great distance. Although these technologies are expensive at first, they are cost-effective in the long term.
Conversely, opponents of the latest methods of communication often promote the old and traditional way to talk to the other members of society who lives far away. They still consider the letter more than just a piece of paper and believe that every letter contains emotions and feelings of the writer. Moreover, they also think that writing letters contributes to improved writing skills of an individual and especially, children.
In conclusion, these days many of us already accepted the new technologies to convey our messages, but there are still some people who do not want to abandon writing letters. While all the modern forms of communication help us communicate effectively and efficiently, it cannot replace the letters completely. Therefore, I partially agree that we should use of modern communication techniques, but at the same time we should also not neglect the importance of letter in our lives and the sentimental value of letters.
