Overall, the highest proportion of people use English online and the lowest number of them use Dutch. However, the figures for people who used online languages increased during these years.
As we can see, the highest number of people who using online languages was in 2001 about 513 million that is 8.4% of world population. Most people tend to use English online about 43%. After that, Japanese and chinese languages by negligible difference are popular among online users around 8.9%. German and spanish languages are in the third place account for 6.8% and 6.5% respectively.
By contrast, the lowest number of people who use online languages was 76 million in 1997 but then climbed gradually. Furthermore, the smallest proportion of online languages is for Portuguese and Dutch by .5%.
