There’s a notion among people that it is crucial to safeguard all wild animals, others, however, support the idea of protecting some, not all of them. Contrary to this belief, however, I believe individuals must preserve all of them.
One key reason for proponents supporting the former idea would be food chain. Variety of animals should be kept safe to save the food chain since a survival of predator is highly linked with the survival of prey itself. In addition, if one animal species goes extinct, the others that depend on praying it, will follow soon after. Another argument is that keeping biodiversity. Flora and fauna improve if all animals live together. Biodiversity is crucial because it supports healthy ecosystems that provide individuals with food, clean water, breathable air, medicine, and stable climates, offering resilience against diseases and climate change.
However,the opponents of this view argue that it’s not important to keep safe all wild creatures and they want to protect only some. To support this idea, first major reason could be scientific experiments. Some animals could serve in a way to restore the lives of extinct species by combining their genetic DNAs. Additionally, a white mountain wolf has long been considered extinct, but recent experiments conducted by researchers Arizona University, including the genetic mutation, came extremely close in recreating the identical DNA of the animal. The second major idea is financial expenses. First and foremost, protecting all animal species requires mass funding to create sanctuaries and specialized zones for keeping them safe.However, such expenses could be better if they invested in critical areas of the society such as education or healthcare.
These arguments notwithstanding, I still favor that all wild species need to be preserved in order to support food chain and keep biodiversity. There might be some negative effects to the earth if they don’t live all together.
In conclusion, I admit the role of the latter view as it can be beneficial for scientific discoveries and may require mass funding. Nevertheless, I remain convinced that it is essential to protect all wild creatures since without them we might not keep biodiversity and food chain safe.
