Some people prefer online classrooms more than conventional ones, while some believe learning traditionally is more effective. Even though online learning has some advantages, this essay believes that traditional learning is the better method.
Ever since the Covid-19 pandemic, online learning has been used as an alternative in schools. While it allows flexibility both for the teachers and students, the downsides of remote classes are more alarming. Students are less likely to pay attention, and most of the time they attend their lectures while simultaneously doing other chores, resulting in ineffective learning. Moreover, it is also highly influenced by internet connectivity, therefore hindering students without a proper access to the internet.
On the other hand, conventional classrooms offer more benefits to the students. Teachers can have better control over their class, allowing the students to focus more on the materials. Aside from that, the learning environment can be more engaging and interactive to the students, promoting better retention of information. For instance, students can ask their teachers directly if they do not understand a particular topic, leading to a more dynamic discussion in the classroom.
In conclusion, despite online classes having some advantages, conventional learning proves to be more beneficial than online learning because it helps students to focus more and therefore be able to study more effectively.
