Airplane is considered as one of the most convenient and fastest mode of transportation. Now a days low cost airlines are easily available that has lead to the affordability among people to travel distant places globally. Some argue that it is beneficial to the public while others believe it is negative development. I my opinion its long term positive aspects will outnumber the downsides.
On the one hand, proponents who emphasize the benefits of the low cost of airlines believe that people can easily travel from one place to another in budget friendly and fastest mode of transportation. Also, other benefit of travelling through air is it decreases road traffic and pollution. To explain this, earlier many people travel overseas through road or water which causes pollution and also require more travel time and money. For example, country like Japan have less road traffic because most of their population travel through air due to its less expensive and easy availabilities. As a result, if people travel through air this will help in preventing delays, road congestion and pollution.
However, there are also multiple reasons attributed to the drawback of low cost airlines. Primarily, if airlines charges less money to travel there will be less money expenditure on its maintenance. In other words, airplane companies will do cost cutting to run their business and avoid providing regular maintenance of aircrafts equipments. For instance, the kingfisher airlines are one of the cheapest airlines through people travel but in the year 2020 there planes had suffered serious malfunctioning while takeoff due to poor maintenance service . Therefore, traveling through cheaper airlines can result in serious life threatening accidents due to some technical issues and lack of maintenance quality of aircrafts parts .
To conclude, although there are some drawbacks of low cost airlines , the benefits of less expensive airlines appears more compelling. Given the reasons outlined above, I firmly believe that traveling through airline will not only save our time and money but also save fuel that lead to pollution.
