The pie chart illustrates the proportion of wide range of causes for worldwide land degradation.
Overall, over-grazing is the dominant contributor for land degradation, whereas the shares of over-cultivation and deforestation are slightly lower. Moreover, the remaining factors which contribute to the issue are comparatively lower than any of the significant factors above.
The contribution of overgrazing stand up at approximately one-third of all cases, which is ranked the highest proportion of all. What is more, the share of deforestation is almost equal to that of overcultivation at 30% and 28% respectively.
Ultimately, the remaining factors account for only 7% of all shares, which is the lowest percentage among all four contributors.
Over- grazing has the most shares, while deforestation stands the second. Over-cultivation is slightly less modest than deforestation and is higher than other range of causes.
