The given table presents how many attendances visited in different three museums, namely MET (New York), Edo (Tokyo) and National (China), over a five-year period, from 2000 to 2005.
Overall, a closer look at the chart reveals that there was a marked increase in the number of visitors to all museums. Additionally,the Edo museum lost its dominance to the National museum towards the end of the period.
Regarding the Edo museum in Tokyo, it ranked first in visitors around 13.5 million in 2000, and then it stayed this figure in 2001. In 2003, it hit a bottom of 6.5 million before recovering to 10 million visitors in 2005.
With respect to the MET museum in New York, its number of participants in this figure observed more fluctuated during the same period. Initially, its ranked the second highest number of visitors roughly 12 million in 2000, and then it remained stably at 6 million visitors from 2001 to 2002. Between 2003 and 2005, the number of visitors go to the MET museum rose again. It increased gradually to 12 million in 2004 and reached a peak of 14.2 million in 2005.
With regard to the National museum in China, at the beginning of the period, it had the lowest number of visitors approximately 6.2 million in 2000 after which this figure climbed significantly and remained unchanged at 11 million visitors from 2003 to 2004. At the end of the period, the National museum peaked at 15.8 million visitors in 2005.
