Notably, US students also occupy the highest figure for school bus usage, at 37 percent, although this is the most common means of transport for getting to school in Australia, with a figure of 31 percent. The opposite was true for the ‘walk’ figure; while schoolchildren in Australia use this method 19 percent of the time, the US only has 5 percent of students going to school on foot. On top of that, the remaining figures only have slight differences between countries, with public transport being followed by bicycle, and the figure marked as ‘others’ which showed only 14 percent in total across the 3 countries.
