In today’s fast-paced world, travel has increased rapidly due to the use of various modes of transport such as bikes, buses, and trains. While many people believe that bicycles are better than cars for travelling, others argue that cars offer greater flexibility. This essay will examine both sides and give my opinion in the following paragraphs with appropriate reasons and examples.
To be more specific, bicycles do not use petrol or diesel; therefore, they do not pollute the air like cars. If more people use bicycles, traffic will be reduced and the environment will become cleaner. Furthermore, traveling by bicycles is much cheaper than cars because bicycles do not require fuel or expensive mechanical parts, making them more affordable for daily use. For instance, newspaper vendors deliver newspaper every morning on bicycles, reducing transportation costs and contributing to maintaining cities climate.
On the other hand, cars offer safety and time-saving. Riding bicycles on busy roads increase the risk of accidents, especially in large cities. Also, during the bad weather cars provide better protection against cold, heat, rain, and wind. Moreover, cars are faster than bicycles. Nowadays, many people prefer to reach their destinations quickly, which is only possible by car. Cars are very useful for long journey, providing comfort and additional features such as comfortable seats, air conditioner, and music system, which make travel more enjoyable and convenient. For example, many affluent people often use cars for security and smooth trip.
In conclusion, although bicycles offer an environmentally friendly option and low-cost rides, cars provide safety, help to reach places without delay, and offer comfortable journey. Therefore, I believe that cars have more significant benefits in people’s daily lives.
