According to the map, we can compare Langley in 1910 and 1950. We need to understand how nature and structures changed.
In Langley, 1910, we can see a factory which produces materials, and very few stores. In the center, there is Sherman Street, along which there are small houses. The railway line was near the houses, which is not good because the railway can disturb people.
Langley, 1950
Firstly, we can see many stores appeared, as well as a laundry and cafe. Sherman Park, where people enjoy nature, also made a children’s play area where children can play and have fun. The houses are bigger than in 1910. Mansions were built instead of the factory. Also, the area became more expansive.
In conclusion, my opinion is that 1950 was better than 1910 because more opportunities appeared, and the houses became bigger. Sherman Park and more markets were built.
