The line graph illustrates the proportion of people who used five different types of communication methods over ten years, from 1998 to 2008.
Overall, all communication methods except landline services decreased in 2008. Landline services were one of the most widely used communication methods, and broadband and mobile broadband were the least used communication types in the year 1998. Similarly, there is a dramatic increase in the use of cellular phone service throughout the period.
In the year 1998, around 15 % people preferred to use a landline; and it seemed to increase slightly to 20% in 2004, and again slightly declined to around 18% where it intersected with internet services in 2006, and finally dropped down to around 15% in the year 2008. Cellular phone services, which were used by around 8% of people in 1998, surged up to 60% in the year 2008.
On the other hand, Fixed broadband and mobile broadband were used by around 0% people from 1998 to 2004, and after that, they made a slight increase up to around 2 % in the year 2006, and again declined and gained the same percentage, i.e., 0% in the year 2008.
