Overall, USA had the highest percentage of people who used the internet over the period whereas India had the lowest figures in the same period. All countries started to increase at the beginning of the period, they all peaked at 2020.
Initially, USA had 52% percentage in 2000 and started to rise considerably by 61% in 2005. It grew by 73% in 2010 and rose sharply by 87% in 2015. It continued to increase and reached 95% in 2020. UK witnessed a gradual but irregular rise. The trend was 38% in 2000 and experienced a sharp growth by 50% in 2005. Next year, in 2010 it had the highest rise by 67%. The figure reached 73% in 2015 and peaked at 91% in 2020. Germany had a gradual and straight increase line compared to others. Percentage of people who utilised internet in Germany were 30% in 2000 and it growth gradually by 42% in 2005. The figure reached 57% in 2010. It saw a modest increase by 73% in 2015 and ended up 88% in last year.
The figures for Brazil were 18% at first year, then it caught up to 28% in 2005. The 28% increased to 45% in 2010. The rise continued until trend reached 75% in last year 2020. Although India had very low figure at the beginning, it saw significant increase by 28% in 2015 and peaked at 45% in last year.
