Initially, the USA had a 52% percentage in 2000 and started to rise considerably to 61% in 2005. It grew to 73% in 2010 and rose sharply to 87% in 2015. It continued to increase and reached 95% in 2020. The UK witnessed a gradual but irregular rise. The trend was 38% in 2000 and experienced sharp growth to 50% in 2005. In 2010, it had the highest rise at 67%. The figure reached 73% in 2015 and peaked at 91% in 2020. Germany had a gradual and straight increasing line compared to others. The percentage of people who utilised the internet in Germany was 30% in 2000, and it grew gradually to 42% in 2005. The figure reached 57% in 2010. It saw a modest increase to 73% in 2015 and ended up at 88% in the last year.
The figures for Brazil were 18% in the first year, then it caught up to 28% in 2005. The 28% increased to 45% in 2010. The rise continued until the trend reached 75% in 2020. Although India had a very low figure at the beginning, it saw a significant increase to 28% in 2015 and peaked at 45% in the last year.
