Overall, oil shows the highest proportion in both years, while the least amount of source was hydroelectric power in 1980 and 1990.
The demand for oil by the US people decreased from 42% to 33% over the decade, however, this percentage was the highest. Using natural gas was the second enery source that almost stayed stabil, like hydroelectric power. Hydroelectric power covers 5% of chart.
On the other hand, need for coal illustrates a slight increase with 5%. Coal become the second highest proportion in 1990 with 27%. Compared to the 1990, use of nuclear power also rose. In 1980, it was same percentage as hyroelectric use, but it increased to 10% over 10 years.
