This pie charts illustrates compare of the proportion of energy capacity in gigawatts between 2015 and prediction for 2040.
Overall, the proportion of energy capacity became more better. The wind and solar resourses of energy increased. Also fossil fuels and other renewables energy decreased. But nuclear is remained stable.
In 2015, fossil fuels accounted for around 64 % of the total energy capacity, significantly higher than any other source, while solar and wind energy made up just 2 % and 5 % respectively. By 2040, it is anticipated that the share of fossil fuels will fall to 44 %, reflecting a notable decline in reliance on non-renewable sources. Nuclear energy and other renewables are expected to decrease marginally, from approximately 6 % to 5 % and 23 % to 21 % respectively.
In contrast, the proportions of solar and wind power are projected to rise markedly – solar energy is forecasted to increase from just 2 % in 2015 to around 18 % by 2040, and wind power is expected to grow from 5 % to about 12 %. These changes suggest a clear shift towards cleaner, renewable forms of energy in the coming decades.
