The pie chart illustrates the percantage of different types of energy usage of the United Kingdom in 2000 and 2010.
Overall, the pie chart shows us, there are increases in many kinds of energy consumption as coal, gas, solar and other. In 2000, the usage of solar and other was less than the rest of the chart. Nevertheless, they had risen significantly. Additionally, percantage of petrol had declined dramatically from 2000 to 2010. There are also very slight decreases in the percantage of coal and gas.
In 2000, consumption of solar was 6.5% but it increased to 10% in 2010. Whereas usage of solar was increasing, the other followed it by rising 5% to 9%. Also there were slight growth in coal and gas. The consumption of coal increased from 30% to 31% and the gas rose from 29.5% to 30%.
In addition, there was a decline in petrol expenditure. In 2000, the consumption of petrol was 29%. But in 2010, it was 20%. The pie chart shows us that, there was a dramatic decrease in usage of petrol.
