Some people believe that children should start learning a foreign language in primary school, while others argue that they should start in secondary school. This essay will discuss both perspectives and provide my opinion.
On the one hand, children should start learning a foreign language in primary school. This is due to children having a strong memory, so they can memorize more information, new languages, and many vocabulary words. Also, they have easy subjects in primary classes therefore, they will have more free time. In addition, children at this age have few responsibilities, so their minds are more clear for learning new language. For example, in many Arabic countries English language is added in the first year of school.
On the other hand, some people believe that children should start learning a foreign language in primary school. This is because they avoided putting children under stress and bad mood. Also, they think that older students have mental maturity so they can understand language structures more easily. High school students have many subjects so they cannot equal their time for new language and thier other subjects and this will effect his grades. The opposite of if the students have it and they are not familiar with it.For instance, high school students have better result in language test more than students in primary school because of their mental skills.
In conclusion, while some people believe that children should start learning a foreign language in primary school has its merits, I believe that some people believe that children should start learning a foreign language in primary school is more significant because their minds are flexible.
