Moreover, most categories experienced an increase, except for the romance ticket.which declines.
Regarding the film released, the drama genre occupied the highest number with around 28% at the beginning, after that, it increased rapidly to reach the peak at 35% in 2000. The comedy genre started at the lower level with 20% in 1996 before the figure rose significantly to reach 25% by the end of this period. Followed by the fantasy movies which accounted for around 13% in 1996, and it saw a dramatic increase to reach around 16% in 2000 during the same period. The romance genre occupied for approximately 6% and remained around this number throughout the period.
In terms of cinema tickets, comedy accounted for the highest number at the beginning at 20%, and it rose significantly to reach the peak around 23%. The drama tickets was the second most popular with around 16% in 1996, and it rose slightly to reach around 18% in 2000. The figure for fantasy had below 5% in 1996 and it underwent a significant increase to reach around 8% in 2000. Romance occupied for 5% at the starting and this number declined to reach below 5% by the end of this period
