Overall, the charts show that the number of people who have access to the Internet rose between 1995 and 2002 bit in different scales. However, in 2003, the North America accounted for the largest proportion of Internet users.
Chart 1 shows the number of people using the Internet in the world between 1995 and 2002. The number of people accessing the Internet jhas slightly increased over 8 years, passing from 26 million to 76 million. Moreover, in 1997 people who access the Internet have increased gradually to 119 million over 3 years. Furthermore, from 1999 to 2002, the increase was far more dramatic from 195 million to 580 million respectively.
Chart 2 chows the proportion of people using the Internet in the world in 2003. In the Western composing with USA and Canada the share predominated with 53% compared to 1% in Middle East and Africa for each. While 24% in Europe have access to the Internet.
