The image illustrates a coal excavation site before and after redevelopment.

Overall, the site has undergone a significant makeover, evolving from a working mine into a visitors attraction. In addition, the car park has remained unchanged and pavements have been constructed.

Before redevelopment, the site functioned as a working mine, with a lorry park located in the bottom middle part of the map and a car park on the other side. Entrance for underground mine for workers was positioned in the top middle part of the site, adjacent to which was a medical room, while office and staff changing room were placed on the other side. The right wing was occupied by waste tips.

Since then, it has been shifted from industrial workplace to a leisure-oriented destination. The place where the lorry park used to be has now been replaced by a souvenir shop, which is located near the cafe where once the old medical room stood. The office and the staff changing room have given way to a new museum. The right-hand side has been redeveloped for a couple of recreational areas, which was once occupied by the waste tips. Footpath has been added, running through the central area. Despite these changes, car park has seen no change, while the entrance for underground mine now serves visitors.
