In recent years, there has been growing debate about the maintainance of old buildings. While some people believe that knock down old building and build modern buildings instead. I partially agree to this statement. This essay will discuss both the views and reaching a reasoned conclusion.
On the one hand, old buildings could be replace with new building is an highly effective option. One of the primary reasons why I hold this opinion is that old buildings will a chance to collapse. This is because the components which is used to build a building had over a time period. If it is overtake the expiry date there is big chance to cllapse. As a result it will regarded as a disaster. For example, there are many buildings which collapsed due to old age which regarded as the disasters.
Furthermore, government could invest alot of money to protect those old buildings. As a result money which is used for the developments could be exploited. For instance, Indian government is investing alot money to protect several monuments in specific parts of the world.
On the other hand, individuals have responsibilities to protect the old buildings. Every old monuments had flourished due to the hardwork work of million of people. Moreover, it had also elaborate our pride of the nation. For example, Taj Mahal in India regarded as the pride of the nation.
In conclusion, I support the view that old buildings should knock down and build modern ones because of the safety concerns and wastage of money through maintainance. However, the buildings which enhance the infrastracture of oldage is important to maintain.
