Overall, in both years, the main purpose of the Internet usage was shopping. The least percentage in 2007 was for learning, whereas in 2009 for TV usage. Notably, the level of gaming stood steadily for both years: 2007 and 2009.
In 2007, there was a high popularity to do shopping through the Internet the percentage of which was around 45%. Music and banking categories were placed the second, accounting 40% and nearly 38% respectively. Another purpose of the Internet usage was for job seeking, which made up around 25%. The lowest searching was for games, learning and TV, the former two accounted for 20%, while the latter at only about 15%.
After three-year period, the shopping category experienced an increase, and remained highly searchable category, reaching 50%. However, both banking and music saw a decline in percentage, falling to around 35% and 30% respectively. Job seeking option rose to 30%, while games remained unchanged (20%). Although fewer people started to use Internet for learning (nearly 15%), the TV percentage increased to 20%.
