I honestly agree that prolonged employment seekers whom enjoy Incentives from the goverment should indulge in community services willingly; allowing them to be a part of the greater reforms of the society
In my opinion, ‘An idle mind the say is the devil’s workshop’, this being said it helps such individuals who fall into this category to stay proactive and stay off crime or engage in unlawful behaviors. There are instances where certain people affected by scarcity of jobs engage in drugs use and use the resources gotten from the government to finance this lifestyle. Hence, becoming addicted and chronic drug users who after a while may detiorolate and became a nuisance to the community as a whole. This vivid experience may have been curtailed if there are workshops where they can harness and learn new skills as an occupied mind may rarely drift far from trouble.
In addition, this can embelish the role or traits of entitlement mentality of doing nothing and expecting a monthly income no matter the amount involved. Further encouraging individuals to become lazy without having to ever lift a finger, there have been scenarios where most people become familiar with this lifestlye and when job opening presents they rather become complacent and choose to just stay home and do nothing. This builds a negative impact on the economy as a whole as such individuals may not be taxed and not actively be involved in any way that creates revenue to the government but rather become TAKERS thereby costing the administrators more money to continue funding such individuals.
In conclusion, I support engaging affected adults to be pro-active and support the view they willingly engage the government to create more programs where despite benefitting from a working system they also give back.
