The maps demonstrate how the layout of a student common room has changed over the past 5 years.
Overall, the room underwent several drastic changes, the most important of which are the rearrangement of the central seating area, the introduction of a new recreational area, and some modifications to kitchen facilities.
Five years ago, the upper wall featured a sink, a cupboard, two benches, a microwave, and a refrigerator arranged from left to right. In the centre of the room, there were four identical tables, each surrounded by 6 chairs. A bookshelf was positioned in the lower right corner, and an entrance was located on the left wall.
At present, a bench has been removed to make space for an additional microwave, while other amenities have stayed unchanged. In the central area, two of the original round tables have been replaced by a larger rectangular table surrounded by 10 chairs and a new bench for laptops. Furthermore, a new leisure area with 3 armchairs and a television has been introduced on the site of the former bookshelf. Last but not least, a drink machine has been added adjacent to the refrigerator.
