Although, many people believe that, it would be more logical to spend some money on developing new source of energy instead of spending money in searching for oil. I support to this statement to a lage extent for some reasons. My position is argued further with explanation.
Out of all the reasons, the foremost one is environmental benefits. Wind and solar energy produce clean energy. This is largely because pollution created by these energy is far less than that of oil sources. For isntance, recently Indian government started using wind energy in selected rural areas an they have noticed significant reduction in air pollution and results in improved Air Quality Index (AQI) in those area.
The other fact is both wind and solar energy is easily available. Due to this, oil industry needs to spend less money on mining and exploring. Moreover these jobs are risky as well. A clear example is a village in India, they have started installing solar panels on their rooftops to produce more electricity. This village has shown to government that natural energy are present around us, with little investment. After this Indian government started to give subsidies to install solar panel in urban as well as in rural areas.
In conclusion, I strongly agree that, good amount of funds should be invested in installing wind and solar power in order to reduce pollution and easily accessible rather than spending money in searching of oil and wasting manforce.
