It is an undeniable fact that parents play a crucial role in the development of a child. Many argue that parents are role models for children. I firmly agree with this statement for several compelling reasons.
First, parents are the first people who teach you from your early childhood to later life as a mother’s lap is your first educational place. In addition, a mother is the person who teaches you to speak, walk and do many other things. Parents better know the strengths and weaknesses of their children. Parents play the most important part in children’s lives as they influence their behaviour by doing daily routine activities. As the old saying goes, like father, like son. Children adopt many habits from their parents which greatly influence their nature and behaviour. Children feel more comfortable in sharing and discussing problems with their parents rather than with other family members and friends. No doubt teachers also teach many important lessons of education but in classes they deal with numerous students while parents are the single person who can teach you in a better way. Second, parents teach the more pivotal lessons of life like intelligence, growth, empathy and kindness. These lessons are best taught by them rather than by others. Furthermore, they are also responsible for developing decision-making and problem-solving skills, as parents’ guidance is essential to encourage a child to take more accurate decisions and handle difficult situations. Moreover, religion is also taught by parents at home. In my opinion moral values, courtesy and self-management are taught by parents. Parents are the best teacher that a child can ever have.
In conclusion, i reaffirm that parents are the role model in developing children’s social and moral values.
