The diagrams illustrate three various bridges. Arch bridge, concrete birder bridge, and suspension bridge. The size of the bridges increase in order of which they have been mentioned and displayed.
The arch bridge, which is the smallest of the three, is built usually not wider than 200m and no higher than 100m. It is built over a lake and small ships can pass underneath. The concrete girder bridge is built over a river and is held up with four piers which are spaced at no more than 200 meters. The bridge itself is not higher than 300 meters but the width of the bridge is not exactly mentioned, as that depends on the number of piers holding up the bridge. A medium sized ship can pass underneath the bridge and trucks can cross over the bridge.
The last bridge is a suspension bridge and it is the largest bridge. It is built over the sea and the height of the bridge is not described, but the distance between the bridge and the sea is said to be very deep. The bridge is held up by two piers and the distance between them is said to be 400 to 2000 meters. Large sized ships can pass beneath the bridge.
