The choice of life partners and friends by children is a source of controversy. Some contend that parents’ impact is necessary, whilst independent decisions ought to be made by the young from others’ perspective.
To begin with, parents are more likely to make correct choices thanks to their experience than their children. The mature individuals have witnessed a lot of people with different characters while choosing friends or partners. In their surroundings, regardless of parent influence or themselves, inevitably they have made both mistakes and corrects, recognizing the value of partnership and understanding how to decide. In addition to experience, young people may be prevented from invalid habits like alcohol or mental harm like stress. On other words, wrong friend choices which made freely can lead to unhealthy lifestyle or even further crime in spite of peer pressure. Therefore, to thwart adverse complications and show correct way, the parent control and impact is important.
However, the opponents promote that the senior citizens should be independent to decide for partners and friends to get experience. To put differently, in most cases, the young need to give decisive decisions themselves owing to the absence of any parent or experienced person. That means they need to build experience, including friend choices, which wrong ones can also teach them about that. By this way, they can learn how to interact with others, manage relationships, and even creating self-responsibility freely. Moreover, regarding interaction, in some cases, young people know the one with whom they interacted or communicated better than their parents. So, some believe the young should be free about their decisions.
To conclude, though some prefer the strong influence of parents to decisions without any dependence, others disagree. However, for aforementioned justifications, both sides are essential and individual choices by the young as well as advice of adults are more beneficial.
