Transport and traffic issues are leading causes of multiple more problems, such as, health issues, economic losses, pollution, etc. It is high time we acknowledged these troubles and took actions accordingly. Yet, migration to urban areas is not the solution at all. While, there are some people who believe that moving to the cities can only solve the mentioned problems. This essay discusses both views before summarizing that why it is important to set a limit to the number of migrating people.
On the one hand, a large number of people moving to the cities would definitely result in chaos, particularly in comemrcial areas. Also, if the carrying capacity of the town is exceeded, that will increase the need of vehicles resulting in heavy congestion on byst roads. For example, the buses have 35 to 40 seats in each and there are about 100 buses commuting day and night, So, if there are are around five thousands people at an area along the routes of the bus, how will the remaining passengers travel?
On the other hand, a limited number of migrants to the cities will carry out a balanced distribution of population. There will be a limited number of tranports to operate throughout the day resulting into less chaotic condition. There will be fewer mess on the roads with bunch of people walking, standing or having conversation on the roadsides. This will unquestionably develop the road condition both in the cities and suburbs.
Overall, the need of migration is inevitable. But it is also vital to keep in mind that carrying capacity should not exceed at all.
