The maps illustrate how a student room was usually designed five years ago and how it is designed now. It is clear from the plans that radical changes have taken place, with the most noticeable being the number and the position of the furniture in the room.
In the past, there were two round tables placed in the middle of the room, and two other tables located at the corners. A large bookshelf lay on the right corner and directly opposite a table. Turning to the left, there was a little cupboard next to the entrance, and a sink was adjacent to it. Two long benches were situated between the sink and the white microwave. Finally, there was a large refrigerator placed next to the microwave.
At the moment, the design underwent significant transformations in five years. The number of round tables decreased, and a new rectangular one was placed instead. There was also a new bench for laptops added in close proximity to the round table. The old bookshelf disappeared and was replaced by three armchairs and a new television. Next to the armchair, a new drink machine was installed in front of the old refrigerator. On the left side, the cupboard and the sink remained unchanged but one bench was removed, and a new microwave was introduced.
