The provided maps illustrate the two outlines of the of a natural history museum in the years of 2010 and 2013.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is manifest that the skeletal structure of the museum underwent a complete change. Right hand side of the map demonstrates the majority of transformation. The dinosaur hall, ticket desk, lobby and ocean hall remained intact during the whole period.
To commence with, the natural side of the map was completely changed. There was a garden in 2010 and it was replaced by the extension of museum sectors including human origins display in the middle and shop and the café which were situated at the bottom of the map and were absent in 2010. Mammals was relocated in the northern side of the newly extended museum and had made a way for the Ice age exhibition in 2013.
More importantly, the insects was also a new place in the 2013 which was added to the Ice age exhibition. The remaining sections stayed unchanged during the 3-year
-span.
