Overall, it’s evident that males mainly had higher education qualifications ratio than females. The percentage of males with advanced degrees in Switzerland is the highest in 5 categories, while this rate for women in Germany is dominated in all countries.

As for men, the percentage with advanced degrees in Switzerland dominated in five countries with 45 percent in 2001. These ratios in United States, Britain, Germany were average with 35 percent in 2001, while it’s the lowest for Japan with 30 percent in this year.

As for women, the proportion with advanced degrees in Germany was dramatic and remarkable with 45 percent in 2001, ranking the first in 5 categories. In United States, Switzerland and Britain, these rates are significant respectively with 40 percent, 35 percent and 30 percent in this year. Japan’s rate was slight with 25 percent and became the country having the lowest ratio.
