Animal extinction has become a serious issue in recent years, and many people think that animals which are beneficial to human beings should be saved. I firmly believe that priority should be given to the protection of animals that benefit human welfare and economy.
One main reason for the preservation of particular species is that they can contribute to the food production and medical research. There are various types of animals, such as cows and goats produce milk, which is the main ingredient of dairy products. In addition, medically valuable species that are used in experiments to test new medicines. For example, nowadays many scientists use rats to try new treatments before using it on individuals, moreover, snake venom, which is extracted in order to make medicine and help people with heart diseases. As a result, people can obtain more food resources and medical assistans by preserving such kinds of animals.
Another compelling reason is financial advantage, which is the main factor in all countries. While preserving only a limited number of species, individuals do not spend a large amount of money on feeding and care, as there are only a small number of species involved. For instance, a research from an American university showed that the amount of money spent on animals, which contributed to human welfare, was smaller than those, which were unimportant for society. Consiquently, the expenditure of useful animals will be worthwhile as the capital was effectively invested.
In conclusion, i strongly believe that preservation of animals that are beneficial to humans is important, as they can improve food supply and medical research. Therefore, safeguarding particulat species can impact on economic benefit.
