The charts illustrate the proportion of students in an adult learning center enrolling in a variety of courses in 1985 and this year.
Overall, it is clear that in 1985 and also this year, the percentage of students studying a range of courses like art and cookery showed no major changes were observed and also fitness and dance courses remained unchanged. Moreover participation in modern languages has not changed dramatically , and the IT course this year was more than three times the music appreciation course in 1985.
In 1985, the proportion of students studying art represented 17% of the total number of students, while in this year the figure for this category was just 15%. In terms of attending cookery courses, the percentage of students for both years was relatively similar. In 1985, students’s largest amount of participation in fitness and dance at 22% and also the rate of this category in this year stayed the same.
The proportion of students attending a modern language accounted for 24% in 1985 , but this percentage decreased by 7% in this year, while the figure for music appreciation represented 8%. These figures were changed to the IT course , which just more than tripled this year
