There is a view that young people who undertake an illegal activity should be treated similar as adult. While some people argue in favor, I strongly oppose this notion.
One reason is that young people are not fully mature. Their brains are still developing, so they often do not understand the full consequences of their actions. Therefore, treating them the same as adults is unfair.

While this is true in extreme cases, most young offenders should still be treated differently from adults because they have the potential to change.
