The bar chart illustrates the amount of free time spent in a typical week by different types of workers and genders from the year 1988 to 1999.

Overall, people who are retired and unemployed have the highest amount of leisure time to spend, which is around 80 hours a week for males and aproximately 70 hours a week for females, whereas full-time employed females have the lowest amount of leisure time which is below 40 hours a week.

According to the bar chart, females who are part-time employed have a higher amount of leisure time than full-time employed famales which is approximately 40 hours a week. Full-time employed males have a little more free time to spend than part-time employed females which is around 50 hours a week and the housewives get more than 50 hours a week of leisure time.

In conclusion, people who are employed get the lowest amount of leisure time to spend in a week, whereas people with no job enjoy the highest amount of leisure time. Among female employees those with part-time jobs get more leisure time than those with full-time jobs.
