Additonally, the numbers of adults passing these languages to their child is a bit lower than the number who had learned them from their parents.
Around 600 thousand adults said their parents spoke Alsatian and Occitan to them habitually. Howerver, while only about 250 thousand occasionally heard alsatian, the figure for Occitan was much higher, at nearly 1,1 million, make it is the highest on the chart. Breton ranked third, with approximately 300 thousand habitual speaker and 450 thousand speak occasionally. In contrast, Creole and corsian were such the most uncommon, each accounting for feewer than 100 thousand habitually speaker and only slightly more occational speakers.
