Overall, America mostly spent their money for charity on program services, while the large portion of income was received for food donation.
In 2016, income utilized for program services was dominant among all other categories at 95.8%, whereas fundraising was contributed only 2.5%. In addition, management and general was the least share stood at 1.6%.
In contrast, the largest share of money for charity was revenue on donated food at 86.6%, which was more than one fourth the figure for community contributions at 10.4%. Program povonuo accounted for 2.2% making it the third largest share for revenue of money, while other income only spent 0.4% of total. Meanwhile, government grants and investment income had the lowest share both contributed only 0.2%.
