The pie charts compare the proportions of electricity generated from three energy sources – fossil fuels, hydropower and nuclear power – in India, Sweden, Morocco and Vietnam.
Overall, India relied predominantly on fossil fuels, whereas Morocco generated almost all of its electricity from hydropower. By contrast, Sweden and Vietnam had a more balanced distribution of energy sources, although Vietnam did not produce any electricity from nuclear power.
India depended heavily on fossil fuels, which accounted for 82% of its electricity generation. In comparison, hydropower and nuclear power made up only 15% and 4%, respectively. The opposite pattern can be seen in Morocco, where hydropower dominated electricity production at 96%, while fossil fuels contributed a mere 3%.
Vietnam generated over half of its electricity from fossil fuels (56%), with the remaining 44% coming from hydropower, and it did not use nuclear power at all. Sweden showed the most balanced energy mix among the four countries. Hydropower represented the largest share at 52%, closely followed by nuclear power at 44%, whereas fossil fuels accounted for only 4% of total electricity production.
