The plans illustrate the design of a college cafe in the present time and before it was redesigned. Overall, there is some additions of outdoor seating and serving area, while staff dining rooms were repurposed as another serving area.
Prior to the redesign, the cafe was an indoor-only venue. The main hall was a large space filled with tables and chairs, two staff dining rooms, toilets. There was also a trash bin located near the entrance and exit. A separate area connected to the main hall via a door was for the kitchen and its serving area, which served all food and drink in one place.
Post redesigning, the cafe has outdoor area used for outdoor seating and barbecue station. It is located to the left of the main hall entrance and is accessible through two new doors, one near the toilet and the other at the back of the hall. More serving area are being introduced, each serving different meals or beverages. A new salad bar available at the back of the hall, meanwhile the serving area located near the kitchen now only serving hot meals. Additionally, the staff dining rooms are now used for take away food station and coffee bar. The single trash bin is also replaced by recycling bins to promote eco-friendlier waste management.
