A faction of population holds a notion that art is an important subject for students in schools while others oppose that it is not useful and time consuming. This essay would delve into both viewpoints and try to arrive at a rational conclusion.
First and foremost, every child is born with latent talents and some are not. Art is one among them. In schools, it being a part of curriculum. Every day or weekly scholars are supposed to attend based on their skill or their interest. However, while these classes develop the skills of the students. For example, if a student is interested in painting and drawing pictures, the consistent practice in school academy along with that learn from expertise would helps to improve the talent. Furthermore, the learners become stress free. They are frustrated with only studying almost ten subjects daily. During this time, co-curricular activities such as arts might help them to be a calm and tension-free person.
On the other hand, some are arguing that these classes are not useful. There are parents who are only focuses on subjects rather than any other activities. They even thought that only textbooks could leads to get lucrative jobs. Consequently, art subjects are unwanted for students.
In my view, art classes which includes painting, performing arts such as dances etc. should be included in curriculum. The students who is very backward in studies could be highly performed in other activities.
In short, nurturing the inborn and developed talents definitely attain their psychological development. On the contrary, this would not help to reach anywhere else. Ergo, I strongly believe arts are important in schools as well as subject education.
