In the modern era, investing in using bicycles has become increasingly popular in many countries, as it plays an essential role in enhancing general well-being. In contrast, there are other effective solutions to overcome traffic jam issues.
To begin with, obesity has become common across all countries, owing to the sedentary lifestyle. Therefore, the government spends a substantial amount of funds on improving the usage of bikes among the community, which provides them with an invaluable opportunity to stay in good shape and burn calories. For example, a significant increase was observed in general health, due to the government’s focus on encouraging public to use bicycles.
Nevertheless, due to the fact that traffic congestion has become a pressing global issue, largely due to the excessive use of private cars, it is not considered the best solution to mitigate this issue. Instead, the government should focus on upgrading public transport, ranging from subways to buses. To be more precise, public transport operates on fixed schedules; therefore, even during rush hours, streets are less packed with private vehicles, which significantly reduces traffic congestion. For instance, a considerable percentage of populations worldwide rely on public transport systems in order to reduce rush hour waiting.
To conclude, the majority of counties allocate a large amount of money to make bicycle usage easier, as it offers an excellent opportunity to decrease the percentage of obesity among individuals. Meanwhile, it does not play a pivotal role in reduction of traffic, as upgrading public transport system offers an excellent chance with fixed schedules.
