Some individuals think that government officials should invest more money on public transportation, but others believe that everyone should have a private car. While owning a car is very convenient, public transport is a more eco-friendly option.
Having your own vehicle indeed lets you get wherever you want realy quickly and without any casualties. From the other hand, it might be expensive to keep a car as you need to pay taxes for it, spend money on fuel, and fix it. The biggest downside, however, is that cars produce emissions that pollute the environment, which in turn leads to detrimental conciquenses to ecology. For example, Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan’s capital, is one of the world’s most air polluted countries in the world, and each year the situation deteriorates as the quantity of cars increases.
Many people think that government must be spending more money on public transportation and infrastructure. This will make lifes of individuals who don’t have a car much easier, because they will be able to get to anu part of a city they live in. To illustrate, in Japan you can easily take a train to almost any part of the country, and it will get you there very fast. Furthermore, in big cities like Tokyo subways help people to save a lot of time, because people do not have to wait in traffic jams.
To conclude, car owners benefit from the flexibility that their vehicles give them, but they harm the environment this way, while public transport, from the other side, is less harmful for the air.
