In today’s world, with the emergence of international exchange programs, it has become popular for students to pursue their studies abroad, especially in countries with modern technological and educational resources. Even though this trend can enhance students’ mental abilities, it is important to recognize that students face practical and emotional obstacles while studying abroad. I will elaborate on both views in the following paragraphs.
First and foremost thing that people feel is that although students may face some problematic situations, there are a number of scopes to study abroad such as, in many countries allocate more financial aid to study in a foreign land because it is desired that there are more experienced professionals in own motherland. Not only may students increase their self-esteem and knowledge but also they can learn other countries’ culture and tradition. As a result, in the more country there will be more shrewd students who help to develop country. For instance, In Germany, majority of universities are free for all students.
On the other hand, in spite of having opportunity to study overseas, there are a number of obstacles being abroad such as, inability to adapt foreign culture and tradition, homesick and talentless to speak as a native. Only by living abroad alone, do these problems occur frequently because; their relatives may not support to adjust a foreign land and also integrate into the local community. As a result, they face to practical and emotional obstacles. It is exemplified, a number of people who cross the border from Mexico to USA illegally, do not have a basic understanding to speak fluently, in turn, they are deported to their own country.
In conclusion, although studying overseas can lead to personal growth, it is essential to acknowledge the financial, practical, and emotional drawbacks that come alongside the experience. In my opinion, we should only try to improve our prospects
