Some people believe that the latest technology is giving people an opportunity to socialize, and others argue that technological inventions are making individuals isolate themselves from society. I believe that, because of modern life, the bonds of relationships are getting weaker and weaker as everyone is tied up with technology like mobile phones and social media.
People are connected constantly but virtually. Technology has vast advantages for communicating with people, and young people are addicted to social media; for example, people are not bothering about their neighbors, but in the world of social media, they will have hundreds of friends. The root of relationships is speaking and sharing emotions, which is about to become extinct. If this continues, after some decades, humans will forget how to speak.
Modern inventions are making people impatient and unwilling to wait for anything. For example, younger parents are not ready to spend enough time with their children, offering them access to electronic devices to control them, which leads to children getting physical and mental issues. Because of too much screen time, children are losing their thinking capacity, and in some cases, children are not speaking until the age of six.
In my opinion, modern inventions have more disadvantages than advantages. Technology makes people addicted and occupies most of people’s time. The closeness between relationships has gone, and it is not good for society.
In conclusion, modern technology keeps people away from each other. It is affecting people of all ages and affecting everyone’s personal life. People are sometimes behaving like machines. However, if people realize the consequences and limit their screen time and use of other technologies, it will help to make the world better.
