In the recent era, some students take one gap year after completing their secondary study, in order to travel or work. There is an ongoing debate whether some people thinks that taking gap year has many disadvantage while some other believes that it has more pros than cons. Personally I believes, that the pros of take one year after finishing school outweigh the cons, and this essay will support my opinion.
To begin with, take one year off between finishing school, and going to school has many advantages, a person get a chance to earn money by doing some work, which is helpful to support their studies. For instance, one of my cousins take one gap year after finishing his school, and he start earning by doing some kind of work. When his one year off is finish, he has enough money that finance his higher studies.
In addition to that, by taking one year off the student get a chance to explore new things which is helpful in his professional life. To be more precise, if a student has ambition of travelling, he can fulfill his dream of travelling to different places, and he get many experience by exploring different culture.
On the flip side, second school of thought has its own rational vision regarding to this thought, they thinks that taking one year has disadvantages, like when a person life changes, it is very hard to come back to the previous routine and sometime a person can start earn enough money, and he found that study is unimportant.
To encapsulate, taking a gap year has more advantages, and the pros outweigh the cons, but it is need to plan the year.
